top watercolor papers: ranked for every style & skill level
okay so paper-wise, it's a jungle out there- but you gotta get it right. cheap cellulose stuff? gonna fight you. real cotton makes a world of difference- especially for washes and lifting. these are the ones i actually use, from daily sketch to serious work- stopped fighting the paper, started painting.

amazon.comthe gold standard, honestly. 100% cotton, gelatin sized- means it handles multiple washes, lifting, scrubbing, everything. you can abuse this paper, it takes it. - 2
